Worry

The ultrasound is in 26 hours. Since Wednesday I've done a pretty good job of not thinking or worrying too much about it. On Friday afternoon I started feeling a little panicky, but that passed after a couple of hours. Having my parents arrive Friday afternoon, staying up half the night with party preparations, and then the party on Saturday was certainly a great distraction. Yesterday was more relaxed, but still busy. Started by sleeping in, then swim lessons, a playdate, and then dinner at our friends' house. But this morning the worry started creeping in. And I don't think it'll be going away anytime soon. Oh how I wish for the blissful ignorance of those without a history of bad outcomes. Oh how I would welcome some symptoms, ANY symptom!

Thinking good thoughts for you and this new little lovebug

And hope the party was a success! How did the ear piercing go?

As I've told you before, I've got enough optimism and giddy excitement to cover both of us. So worry if you must (goodness knows I did 25 hours a day, 8 days a week), because I am brimming with hope for you. xoxo

Tell us how the party went!!

I hate the worry too. I hate that I knew what it was like to not feel the worry all the time, and yet I can't get that feeling back.

For some reason, I didn't have much in the way of symptoms until...well this weekend. At 6 and a half weeks. Even now it feels less intense. Like maybe we know how bad it gets, and this is nothing compared to that. I don't know.

Good luck in your ultrasound. I hope everything looks perfect.

The waiting is excruciating - and you can't really tell anything from symptoms (or lack of). I have been so desperate for symptoms upon occasion that I could have been sure a hangnail meant I must be preggers!
